    • Great tow vehicle.

Truck handles 5th wheel with ease. Gas engine never struggles. Transmission is smooth and keeps rig at desired speed up and down mountains. Ride is good for heavy duty.
    • A truck that does what a truck should

I want value for my money and a plush ride isn’t on the list of needs. Ford has a great truck but you’re going to pay several thousand more for it. Rams are fine, but not for me. I traded my 1/2 ton Ford for this truck when deciding to get some to get something with more power. I’ve owned Chevy trucks in the past and none of them let me down. Look at the towing numbers on this type of truck and compare it to Ford & Ram. Look at the power plant reliability of Chevy trucks compared to Ford and Ram. When all of that has been researched, check the prices. You’ll find Chevy has an excellent argument to be considered. My buddy who owns a Ford diesel (of the DEF generation) drove mine with a loaded trailer attached and said he was impressed how well it moved. Ironically, it was a car hauler with a Ford on it that was attached. I use it for work, play, daily commute, and long trips. It’ll do all of these things very well. It’s not perfect. This truck has the same rattle by the driver’s left knee that my last truck had. It also has that rear view mirror that auto switches from day to night, and vice versa, that I hate. I hate it during dawn/sunset times when it thinks it needs to be on day and some yahoo is behind me with NASA quality headlights. It also has the same interactive infotainment flaws my Ford had (and I understand all brands have). It’ll shut off on its own and come back a little later. It’s a nuisance that gets frustrating when Google maps is telling me how to get around in city traffix.
    • 2024 2500 HD

hey, I have 2 of the 2024 2500HD with the Durmax. One is a high country and the other is a LTZ. Overall appearance I really like. I like the small changes they made to the outside appearance. Makes the truck look better. I do like the interior in the High Country better. The leather doesn't seem as cheap as the LTZ. Both trucks interior are nice but i like the High Country better. I have 20k on the LTZ and 6k on the High Country. I have had the LTZ in the shop several times for emissions issues. Check engine light was on a lot, truck ran rough, wasn't sure if it would keep running. The dealership said they had to flash the ECM, said that it is a software issue. The High Country had the same thing done at 3k miles. Not overly impressed with the emissions issues. I had a 2022 Ram 2500 with the Cummins in it prior to both these trucks and was more impressed with that. I do kind of miss that pickup. The one thing that I have noticed on both trucks is this, not a major deal but bothers me as I am fussy when it comes to my trucks, they both have the fold out running boards, I noticed on both that the black paint is rubbing off on where you step. it happened right away too. I noticed at 1000 miles both trucks started doing it. Not a major but not overly impressed especially for the price tag. The LTZ ran right at 80k and the High Country was at 93k, so that shouldn't be happening. I could see that happening if they both were 10 years old plus but they are not even a year old. Overall performance is good, has a lot of power for towing. I do like the Allison Transmission. Fuel mileage is really good on the highway as well, both trucks average around 20mpg on highway just normal driving which is really good right out of the gate. The biggest thing I do not like is emissions issues but you will have that with anything that uses DEF. To say I would buy another one, not really sure yet. Not saying I would not, but I think I would probably go back to the Ram 2500 with the Cummins. Now that the 2500 in the Rams have the digital display I would go back, the main reason I went to the Chevy was for the technology it had to offer but I wish I would have waited because the Ram has a lot to offer now too. I do wish that the Chevy would come with the air ride system in the 2500 like the Rams have. Not to beat up on the chevy as I own 2 of them but I would really think hard before buying one again
